Good morning! One of the reasons I'm sure why I'm not losing weight...my tall vanilla latte with whip...sheeshh...Give me the power to stop drinking coffee altogether please!
Just a sampling of my random life with my lovely husband Sean and our two fur-kids Koda and Charley -- and my quest to my first 5k. My mantra seems to be: Running and Consistency. If you can do it today, you can do it tomorrow. For some reason those words seem to keep me on the treadmill to finish my last 3,4, or 5 minutes when I want to get off. I started this blog to document my road to my first 5k on May 16, 2010.
I named my blog "baking girl runs" because I love to bake!! I bake cookies, cakes, cupcakes, pretty much anything I or my husband fancys I will bake. So this baking girl has now turned into a running girl!
Like many a few pounds have crept on to my legs and butt, working at a desk 9 hours a day, with little to no exercise for the past 2-3 years has added about 20 lbs on my 5'2" frame. The dinners out to eat, late night snacks, and the baked goods that I love to make have finally taken a toll. My starting weight was 156lbs. (I only admitted 150lbs to my husband because I know what his reaction would be, not so much a secret now)
I am truly inspired by all these women out there (web blogs that I have read) that have all taken running as a start to a better fit, healthier lifestyle. I am quoting Selina, my friend on Spark People: "I am looking for my inner athelete." So I hope two months from now I can report back and say yes I ran/jogged my first 5k and loss X-amount of weight!
I will be posting other random events that happen in our life, my husband, my dogs, my sisters, family, and my nieces and nephews. This blog will be a random sampling of what goes on in my life. Thanks for reading!
